Before The Plunge

I feel so scared,
So scared too death…
Out of my mind,
Out of my breath

I’m released from my cage.

I’ve fought myself,
Into this mess
I can’t believe,
I’ve been reckless

Why couldn’t I ever give up?

My weary soul,
Now feels so blank
It’s tied and bound,
To walk the plank

No turning back… My destiny is set.

It is my fate,
I have no choice
No one can hear,
My pleading voice

I’m only screaming into the wind.

As for my tears,
They soon will end
And will be gone,
Once I descend

I’ve finally stumbled to the edge.

It’s time to jump,
I’ve reached the edge
No where to go…
No saving ledge

I can’t believe this is the end.

With this last breath,
All pain will leave—
Just take it in,
Inhale… Breathe…
